We are far from it, we dont want to come into your life and take *our* child from you....FAR from it we just want a relationship with them. The adoption triangle is a very emotional one and deserves respect from ALL the members BUT the most important member of the adoption triangle is the child....and if a child has a good and close relationship with their adoptive parents then NOTHING will rock that ....least of all a natural parent wanting contact......and also there may be natural siblings who DESERVE the chance to know their sibling who was lost to adoption....in fact I would go as far as to say that natural siblings have the RIGHT to know their adopted out sibling....<br /><br />Also something to remember is, that not all natural mothers gave up their children willingly and so pine and pine and pine for their lost child and only want to see them again and know they are alive and well and happy, and any adoptive parent worth their salt would want their child to know their natural mother/father .......we should all try to get along for as I say the most important member of the adoption triangle is the adopted child/adult.....lets remember that if nothing else please....<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /></span></span></span></span><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/12118047-111364182511060417?l=annambrownadoption.blogspot.com' alt='' /></div>zippy_loopy_squirthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10253669941030685829noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12118047.post-1113302393359273332005-04-13T14:10:00.000-07:002005-04-13T06:10:04.346-07:00I will start off with the premise that adoption is not natural....and I dont mean to offend anyone with this so will explain where I am coming from. It is not natural to seperate a mother from her baby and like wise to seperate a baby from his/her mother, now on saying that I TOTALLY understand that that sometimes this is the only option.<br /><br />SEPARATION<br /><br />To separate a mother from her newborn child is just the most harmfull thing that can ever be done.....to tell a mother to go away and just *forget* all about the child that they carried in their womb and nutured for the previous 9 months.....its like asking someone who had to have a limb amputated to go away and *forget* that they ever had a limb....its IMPOSSIBLE:-( now you can indeed go into denial and block it out of your concious mind to protect yourself BUT it will allways be there and when your mind is able to cope with it, it will return with a vegence.....and it can lead you down all sorts of roads, from alcoholism, to drug abuse, failed relationships, possible loss of other children and mental illness...... and what was our crime??? To become pregnant outside of marriage :-( and for that society deemed us feckless, worthless shameless and a sinner. For that they put us into magdalene mother and baby homes that were the pits!!!!! they took our dignity from us, took our names from us and worst of all they took our babies....now that was WRONG WRONG WRONG.....there were PLENTY of people only too willing to take our babies from us BUT were scarce on the land to help us keep our children and raise them ourselves as we should have been allowed do.
